Ever since Ramadan started, men all around our company started carrying and using “Miswak” all the time. Sorry but am I the only one who is disgusted from this? Seriously? Isn’t it like brushing your teeth while in a meeting?
I know some would say it’s a “Sunna” blah blah blah…but who cares? Do it at home or in the toilets, just do not do it in public infront of me. The idea that they are not even brushing their teeth because they are fasting is more disturbing..blekh!

I don’t understand why some say you can’t brush your teeth during ramadan .. its disgusting!

something that i tell everyone - i dont care if it breaks my fast lakin mani 6al3a min baitna gabil ma afrish asnani. sorry but i dont want to put people through any misery
Just think of all the intimate moments one could have with a miswach
You could offer to clean your partner’s teeth for instance.
I wonder if the mint flavoured ones are halal for fasting?
3adi, I instruct all my customers to them to throw their miswak away. They dont like it, allah weyahum..
ashwa bacher last day
ba3dain i know for a fact that even if ur fasting u can brush ur teeth, cuz u dont swallow anything
Unlike others, some people do care about il sena
huh ?????????????
shakoo el 9yam bel teeth brushing ?????????
Nothing says white teeth like a tree for a toothbrush! xD
How do cooks taste the seasoning of the food they cook when they are fasting? By putting it in their mouth, tasting it and then spitting it out. Their fast remains UNBROKEN.
Crest, floss and mint flavored Listerine should be everyone’s best friend in Ramadan in my view, as they are mine at all times Ramadan or otherwise.
There are many, many ways to observe “il-sunna” especially during Ramadan. Il-deen yusr, moo 3usr. Islam is a highly social and health conscious religion and way of life.
There are times and places for everything, even miswak, but the workplace in front of coworkers is not one of them.
I don’t blame you for being disgusted. It is sunna alright but people should perform it in the privacy of their homes or their own offices not in a friggin meeting!.
Brushing your teeth does not break your fasting.
But I wonder of they sell desinger brand miswak(ch), lezoom el kashkha
my boss do that in Ramadan too !!
and why pple don`t brash their teeth in ramadan @@
That is so discusting :/
I second you .. Thanks!
7adda wai3!
i haven’t seen anyone do it
El7amdilla, I brush my teeth, make sure ini em7aftha 3ala my cleaniness all the time and I’m not that interested in sewak lol
As for using it in public, I would simply ask whoever’s doing that to postpone it till AFTER I leave the room..
nasty
It is a SUNNA alright…but the correct way is to use the miswak directly before prayer…while you`re on your prayer rug and try to be descret as possible..like using your qutra or shelah to cover your mouth while using the miswak..
