A Call For Prayer…

All this week, I was not able to sleep at all. Why? Because of all the loud prayer calls coming from the newly built mosque close by. Okay, now slow down. I am NOT against mosques or prayer calls BUT I am against ugly voices yelling for people to go and pray.

I know for a fact that Prophet Mohammad carefuly chose those whould call for prayer times and that “Belal” was known for a beautiful voice. Then why can’t we do a voice check before hiring those “Imam’s”? More like a Prayer Call audition.

Anyways, I spent all yesterday thiking about this and wondering. I even bitched about it to my friends and family. I even told Dad that am glad we are moving of this stupid house so I don’t have to be awaken by the ugly voice every morning. Just before I went to bed last night I decided to write a post about this, complaining ofcourse. Then, this weird thing happens this morning. I was awaken by a beautiful voice this morning calling for prayer.

I am 100% sure it’s the same guy who does the prayer call everyday. This man had such a comforting beautiful voice. For some reason, his call for prayer put a smile on my face. I was not bothered at all; actually, I felt that I missed praying. I showered and looked around serching for a prayer carpet and a prayer dress. There was none around me. I went back to sleep afterwards.

Now, I am thinking. Was God listening to me bitching man with ugly voice? Maybe!

I remember ages ago when I was in high school, we had an afterschool soccer game, half way into the game, prayer started. The person who was calling for prayer had the worst voice ever istaqferallah. It was SO scary that we all stopped in our tracks in fear! LOOL!

The other day I was in the lobby of the bank waiting for the elevator chan i2athin, and same thing the mans voice was so bad I started to crack up!!!

Sometimes I wake up il fayer and I hear the mosques call for prayer and thank God the one next to our house has a good voice!

I feel the exact way about them.. I even wrote a post but when I hit submit the power went off lol I thought that’s a sign not to post it! So it’ll remain in my drafts.

I think with the means of communication we have now, there is no need to yell in such an ugly way in a loud microphone. I’m sure Bilal didn’t use a microphone.. Madri they’re just bad.. I compare with church bells which are sooo soothing.

That’s half of my post right here :P
