All I Want Was Some Sleep……

I wonder why did they have to YELL for such a long time during the Eid Prayer?!?!?!?!

Why can’t we just silently pray? WHY? Why can’t think of those poor people like myself who were trying to get some sleep? WHY? WHY?

FYI, I live no where close to a mosque! Yet, them screaming “Labyak Allahoma Labyak” was going straight to my ears while asleep. UFFFF!

    chika,
    o intai bekher ;*

    Linda,
    Thanks

    Amu,
    Same to you

    jashanmal,
They were NOT doing it for few minutes, they were yelling (Not praying; YELLING) for at least 45 minutes

    Judy,
Trust me police sirens are much better

    S & Zuzu,
It’s sadder that we have to yell out loud are prayers to show people that we are good Muslims who pray to God. I believe that praying is a very personal thing which takes us closer to God. We can do it at anytime anywhere. Why do people have to shout and yell? That I don’t understand.

those prayers are like religious songs in churches, or what we call “9alah jahriya”..it’s to invite people to join the prayers and celebrate eid. however, du3aa2 is said in a lower voice and is a personal prayer to god.
