Nailtini- A Review

martini.gifCare for one cosmopolitan? Or perhaps a Pina Colada? Maybe you are a Lemon Splash girl just like me! Now you can have your favorite cocktail legally in Kuwait. Yes, Nailtini in Surra offers a wide range of Cocktails for Nails.

Lately, I’ve been either too busy or too lazy to drive to N-Bar, my favorite place to get a mani & a padi until last weekend when I tried Nailtini.

The thing I liked most about it was the convenient location. It’s always nice to drive few minutes and get your nails done rathar than driving all the way to Salmeiyah with the horrible Kuwait traffic.

Getting an appointment was not very hard. I called in late Wednesday night and managed to get an appointment just by the time that suits me best. Thursday morning, I tricked a girl friend of mine to come along. We called in around 9:30, their opening time, and the lady was able to squeeze my friend in.

Driving there was heaven. I love Surra and hey, you can’t really miss the famous old Nuhassy Building. The inside atmosphere was as expected, just nice. It wasn’t very dark, nor very bright. It was just perfect. Decorations were very minimal which I loved very much. The theme of the place is martini glasses; DUH the place is called “Nailtini”. I loved the huge martini glass the placed in one of the corners.

Upon arriving we were given the cocktails menu. I admit, it was very hard choosing one. Since I am a lemony girl, I went for the Lemon Splash Mani/Padi cocktail which my girlfriend decided to go for as well. It’s a citrusly sour mani/padi that comes with a scrub and moisturizer made of lime blossom, lemon grass and cardamon. Once they brought the scrub & moistrurized, my friend and I went on “WOW, the smell wow”. It was very refreshing and just what we needed.

Other options on the menu include but not limited to “Pina Colada Sparkle, Malibu Breeze, Mangotini (Which I am so trying next time), Absolut Cocoa, On the Rocks and Peppermint Punch”. They also offer a special Nail Shots along other specials.

I have to give credit to the ladies working there. From all the beach, I developed a very dry skin that needs alot of attention. The last time I got a padi, it hurt like crazy and I was still able to feel it dry. The lady at nailtini did an amazing job that it feels like I just got a padi.Whenever I get my nails done, my color chips off within the first 24 hours. Today is day three, and the color on my nails look very fresh and brighty.

Prices are very reasonable, starting from 4KD for a Mani & 5KD for a Padi.

One downside to Nailtini is the limited area. The place is so tiny. It can only fits 3 padis at a time and an extra 2 mani. I always prefer tiny cozy places yet this might make getting an appointments hard at certain times.

Nailtini is located in Surra, Block 5, St 1 in Al-Nuhassy Building. Their contact number is 5355225 or 5355445.

it’s true the location is the best thing about the place, but in my experience the mani pedi work started chipping the very next day, so lech 3ala the quality

and they charge extra for quick dry - which in my opinion should be included

never tried athafer, but I heard bad reviews from some friends.

Joud, they charge 1/2 KD for the quick dry because of material cost. It’s not the regular dry spray that actually mess your nails. It’s a drop that instantly dries your nail within a minute. I tried it and it works.
