I just love it when a friend visits for the weekend, especially when it’s been so long since I last saw them. It amazes me how it would be years since I saw some people yet the minute I see them again, it feels like it was just yesterday that we hang out last.
A very good news this week and a very sad one. It made me wonder how can a group of people celebrating something and in few hours they would be crying over something else.
My parents never told me they have our house in Kuwait for sale. For the past two weeks, people have been coming and checking the house out. This is a BIG DEAL, how can they not tell me? But ofcourse I had my ways in knowing this little bit of a news. My mum laughed out loud when I told her how I knew. So the parents are house shopping now; or should I say “land” shopping? I think my mum is bored; this would explain why she wants to go through building a new house all over again.
I’ve always planned on convincing my parents of selling the house and instead of buying a new house, to just move into our chalet. My mum thinks I am crazy; in my defense, I want to live on the beach and with all the highways it’s not a far drive. People around the world drive for hours to get to the city, why do we have to live two minutes away from downtown?
Living at the chalet would be wonderful..
wow living there would be so refreshening relaxing and quite i believe …
Living in the chalet- wow, how nice that wud be….. I love living next to the ocean, its kind of serene, isnt it?
خطتي بعد التقاعد انشاءالله
At home, we are constantly in fear of my parents selling the house. We’re a lazy bunch, my brothers and sisters and myself. And the idea of having to move is just too consuming. And it’s the family house. There should be a law against parents selling out the family house where their children’s kids were raised.
Chalet as the main house is a VERY good idea. It’s secluded and it’s by the beach. What more can one want?
Lady J,
tell my parents, they just don’t get the idea!
Mitsuki,
I know!
Nonowa,
it’s not the ocean persay but the close enough.
KM,
وليش تنطر لما بعد التقاعد؟
Hanan,
In our case, we never grew up in one house. We kept moving all the time. This house tho is the one we lived in the longest and it’s where I spent my last few years in Kuwait.
Hey Girl
Chalet is fun but a long drive given the crazy people on the road. Where do you work?
suzy,
people all over the world drive 1, 2,3 hours to get to work. I think a 45 minutes drive to downtown is not that long.
I actually worked with a girl who would take the train everyday for 5 hours to get to work.
ok a 5 hour train ride is insane! but i wouldnt mind living in a chalet away from the 3afsa..
i, for one, would love it if my parents sold our house..
mako a7la min the beach for a relaxing way of life..
