My direct manager (DM) from Kuwait just gave me a call.
DM (Laughing): Shopa, how are you?
Me: Great, how are you?
DM (Still Laughing): I am good. I had to call and tell you what Mr. J said earlier today.
Mr. J is the office engineering manager.
Me (Now Laughing just for the sake of it): What did he say?
DM: He was asking how you are doing over there and that if you are thinking of coming back anytime soon. He then asked if you are meeting people and if you went out on dates while there.
Me: HUH? LOL why would he ask if I go out on dates?
DM: I told him I don’t think she is; she will probably go out on dates when she comes back. He then said “NO! Tell her that over is here is something, and over there is something else”.
Me: LOL, I agree.
DM: Agree to what?
Me: I should explore my options.
DM: Yeh explore.
Me: Cool and if someone asked me I’ll just say that my managers told me to do so.
DM: LOL No, no. Don’t get me into it.
Me: Ok.
So basically they were discussing your personal life, while you were in another country.
Im not sure how close you are with them, but if I was in your place, I would be offended.

to clarify things,
Mr. J is an american guy in his 50s! He has a unique character, he is married and I’ve met his wife. He is not interested in me what so ever. To people who know us personally, what he said was funny. Come to think about it, I guess it makes sense how some of you would think. It’s hard to explain but yeh. It meant to be funny.
