Shopaholic Q8eya

Over here, Ramadan started on Saturday and as expected there was non-stopping text messaging from people greeting and whishing a Holy Ramadan. I didn’t fast on the weekend because I was on medication for the allergy I developed from the mosquito bite. After work Friday, I worked out at the gym. In 1 hour, I burnt about 650 calories. Usually, my body doesn’t burn that much in 1 hour but I guess my metabolism was very active that night.

I stayed in for the rest of the night since I didn’t feel like going out. I watched one more stupid movie for Sarah Jessica Parker, The Family Stone. Can movies get more ridiculous? In the movie, Parker spends Christmas with her boyfriend’s family whom she meets for the first time. Dermot Mulroney, who plays the boyfriend, was planning to propose to Parker but never did because he fell in love with her sister, Claire Danes, whom he met for few hours only. Just to make the movie more ridiculous, Sarah Jessica Parker falls in love with her boyfriend’s brother. Ok, this is really sick and stupid. I wonder how on earth the Critics gave it a B-. Oh, enough with the stupid movie.

One of the blessings of living in America is road trips. After a long drive Saturday morning, I got to “J” house. I was so excited to see her after all those years. Funny, how it didn’t feel that we haven’t seen each other that long. We went out for lunch and we couldn’t stop talking and talking. The boys were nice enough to let us spend the rest of the day by ourselves shopping. Oh, I really missed going shopping with this girl. We bought cute things and had our moments of laughter. Sunday was more relaxing. We stayed in all morning, cooked breakfast and talked. Later, we had Mexican food for lunch which brought back A LOT of memories. It was time to head back home and by time I did I was ready call it off for the day.

This morning, I woke up smiling. I am looking forward to this week.
