Listening to THIS
Going back to the “confusing” subject of relationships and spinning away from all the political talk. In a relationship, why do we consider ourselves “victims”? Why do we think that it’s the other person’s fault? We are always the “good” ones & they are the “bad” ones.
When things go wrong, we focus on how we treated them really good while in return they did us bad. I bet they think exactly the same. People need to take a deeper look. Little meaningless things we say can sometimes hurt others. Being in a relationship is a loop that keeps going. She treated you badly because you did me bad. I was treated this way because I did it to him although he treated me good. He, too, was treated badly because once he did it to her; and it keeps going & going & going.
In relationships, there’s no good & bad. We all possess angels and demons within ourselves, we just don’t realize it. We are both the victim and the perpetrator.

It hurts, it kills.. But ultimately if you were going through that much drama and stress it means that something within you two was not compatible. Neither is to blame completely but more often than not one party is always more guilty than the other. And of course, if you bring baggage from past relationships or Boo brought baggage from past relationships that always screws things up. But please avoid lapsing into the blame game. Contrary to what is sometimes believed, and Judy this is for you too, if your significant other is bad to you, it is not because you are not good enough. If you were not good enough they would a)talk to you about it or b)leave you. The person is bad to you because either you are bad to them and they are too immature to confront you about it, or because they have insecurities or character flaws that they take out on you.

Love this post! It’s extremely true, in love, relationships and arguments in general some people tend to be immediately aggressive and defensive in stead of simply listening to the other persons views and reaching out to understand the other party.

I totally agree..that’s why I read all the self help books I can get my hands on..that way..I’m gonna end up being close to perfect and when He comes along…he’s gonna end up being close to perfect too!..(so wishful thinking!)..LOL
