It was one crazy week. For the past six years, I was never in Kuwait for my birthday. This year was surly different. There was plenty of food and cake. The birthday celebration started on Sunday and is still on. Here is a highlight of the week.
Sunday:Mom gave me an early birthday gift. I knew what the gift was so I had to act surprised. I’m falling in love with my new “Black Nano”. Also, dear brother sent me some stuff that I wanted along with a really funny card.
My friends then took me out for dinner in one of my favorite places. We laughed hysterically and people were staring. I almost passed out after having my favorite cake, Chocolate Cheese Cake from Le Renzo. Pass 10 PM, a friend called asking to stop by their house. I already knew they were calling and someone already told me about the little surprise party they’re having. Again, I acted surprised so they won’t feel bad.
Monday:Mr. Charming planned on taking me out on his boat. I wasn’t very keen on the idea but agreed thinking other people will be joining us. That wasn’t the case since the plan was a trip for two. Thankfully, the weather was bad and we went out for dinner instead. More on Mr. Charming to come in future posts.
Tuesday:Family left for vacation and I was/am home alone. I was planning on meeting this friend over dinner but we had to postpone because of a death in the family. I arranged different plans just to be canceled on while on my way there. The night ended with someone from work treating me for dinner and desert at The Chocolate Bar. Two of my best friends got me this beautiful bag from Neiman Marcus. They said this was part 1 and am still waiting for parts 2 &3.
Wednesday:I met another “Eligible Bachelor”. As expected, he wasn’t my kind of man. It was also my friend’s birthday so we had a mini double birthday get together at her house.
Thursday:Dearest uncle spoiled me by taking me shopping all day. I got 6 cute tops, 2 dresses, a skirt, sandals and some make-up. After shopping I met with a friend who gave me a hand-made gift. Later that night, my work colleagues took me out for dinner. It was a blast. They got me a spa voucher as a gift. It wasn’t a surprise to know that “Lee” was behind planning it.
Friday:“Lee” took me to couple of places in the morning. I met with more friends early that evening. Lovely Exceer treated me to a nice dinner late that night. She managed to actually surprise me and there was no need for an act. She also got me this nice gift from Swarovski.
